Blaze is a compact and very athletic, agile female.   She has a beautiful head, thick rear, tight skin, and short coat.  She has a very stable temperament and is quite social and affectionate.  She will lick your face forever if you let her, and doesn’t seem to know the meaning of “stranger”.

Blaze is currently being trained in the sport of Schutzhund, and despite a bit of a slow start, is now progressing nicely. She has tremendous food drive, moderate ball and prey drive, and high stimulus thresholds.  She is compliant and learns most exercises quickly.   She loves to please! In protection, she does not get locked in prey and goes back and forth nicely between drives. No equipment fixation. However, she does work best on helpers who will tap into her serious side as it tends to bring out more fight drive in her.  She has a calm grip and maintains it when pressured.     She comes in fast on the long bite.  She loves tracking!

Blaze has also dabbled in weight pull, and recently obtained her NWDA WP 2 title; pulling over 1100 pounds.  This was achieved with minimal training and she seems to show natural form as a puller. With more time dedicated to training in this venue, she could probably be quite competitive.

For the most part, Blaze is non dog aggressive, but will tangle with the other female in her home if the opportunity presents itself.
